Inside the Pyramid

Hi everybody! Yesterday I went INSIDE the Great Pyramid with Daddy. Mommy was too scared to go in - she said it was smelly and dark. But I said "no way!" so Daddy and I went in. It was very cold outside, but inside the pyramid was really hot. We had to duck down and crawl down a very small ladder once we were inside. We had a couple of stops on the way so we could stand up and just walk for a bit. Then we went up the small ladder again and we were in a resting place. I saw things that blocked the fake tunnels. The fake tunnels made the tomb robbers go the wrong way - but not me and Daddy! So I was a little bit nervous about looking at the mummy, but when we got to the main chamber there was no mummy! The mummy is in the museum. There was only some writing on the wall - someone wrote their name and the year they were there - 1818 - Daddy said it was really cool that even the graffiti in the pyramids is old. So then when we headed out Daddy asked two ladies to take our picture. Here it is!

Santa Claus is Coming to Town - on a Camel!!!

Hey everybody! We went to a Christmas party at the Maadi House and Santa Claus was on a camel! The Maadi House is a place where there's lots of food and a playground and a pool for Embassy kids to play. I go there a lot with my family. So Santa came riding in on a camel and then he sat in a chair and we all gave him a present to take to Toys for Tots. When I sat on Santa's lap he asked me what I wanted for Christmas and I told him I couldn't decide! The camel that Santa was riding pooped while it was sitting down on the grass - it was gross! Jacob liked it more than I did, he got on it and rode around the garden. Then the whole family stood by the camel for a picture - even Nanny! I had pancakes and french toast for breakfast there too - it was yummy! Thanks for all the comments - I really like to read them! Merry Christmas everybody - I miss you!

Trip to Carrefour

I went to Carrefour today. Carrefour is a place where you can buy food and some clothes. I went with Mrs. Amine, my helping teacher, and my class. We had a class field trip to gather ingredients so we could make a sandwich. My sandwich didn't taste very good. In my sandwich was mozzarella and ketchup. I didn't like it.

Life in Egypt

This is a picture of me standing in front of the Great Pyramid of Cheops at Giza. I went to the pyramids of giza today with my mom and dad and my baby brother and my brother and the driver. I liked all the pyramids, but I got REALLY scared and got a case of the heeby bejeebies when I rode on a camel!

Hello! This is my new blog about my life in Egypt. My family and I moved here in October of this year, and I want to share my life here with my friends back home.

I've started at a new school, the Maadi British International School, and I have lots of activities; Lego Club, soccer, Tai Kwan Do, swimming and church, but I still miss my friends and my life back home.
