Mum and Dad and Jake and I went to Memphis to see a really big guy lying down. Memphis used to be the capital of Egypt, and so there are lots of cool statues there. This is a statue of Ramses, who was a really big Egyptian king, so they made a really big statue of him, but it fell down. Now you can almost hear it snoring. See how small we are compared to it!!!!

Hey Owen,
Judging by the size of the satue and how small you all are in comparison it looks as though you could hide in his nostrils. That really sounded "icky" as I was typing it.
Do you know how tall would the statue have been when it was standing up? It looks as though its head alone was about 20 feet tall.
What wonderful stories you will have to tell your friends back in Virginia when you get home.
