Inside the Pyramid

Hi everybody! Yesterday I went INSIDE the Great Pyramid with Daddy. Mommy was too scared to go in - she said it was smelly and dark. But I said "no way!" so Daddy and I went in. It was very cold outside, but inside the pyramid was really hot. We had to duck down and crawl down a very small ladder once we were inside. We had a couple of stops on the way so we could stand up and just walk for a bit. Then we went up the small ladder again and we were in a resting place. I saw things that blocked the fake tunnels. The fake tunnels made the tomb robbers go the wrong way - but not me and Daddy! So I was a little bit nervous about looking at the mummy, but when we got to the main chamber there was no mummy! The mummy is in the museum. There was only some writing on the wall - someone wrote their name and the year they were there - 1818 - Daddy said it was really cool that even the graffiti in the pyramids is old. So then when we headed out Daddy asked two ladies to take our picture. Here it is!
Miss you and Merry Christmas!

Owen you are so brave for going into the tomb with daddy. Do you see any cool hieroglyphs?

Owen, you are having so many adventureres! Does this last one make you and Daddy "tomb raiders?" I thought you looked like Indiana Jones in your earlier posting, and now I'm convinced. Carry on, Dr.!

Owen, you are the coolest kid I know because you are such a great adventure finder. I am so proud of you for being so brave. Uncle Brian thought that was so cool what you and Daddy did. We wish we could be there having adventures with you! We love you and the whole family. Merry Christmas to you too!

Owen, that's so awesome! Uncle Josh and I went to Egypt many years ago, and we were going to go inside the big pyramid like you did, but I got sick so I couldn't go. Was it lots of fun? I miss you all and I hope you're having fun over there! Can't wait until we can come visit you!

Love, Auntie Kat.
